B-E-A-UTIFUL! But make sure you pay for a DAY PASS    posted 11/16/2010 (updated 7/19/2011)

There is nothing boring about this wedding venue. My wedding is going to be in the Sunrise Day Use Area and let me tell you, it is gorgeous! With views of the lake and the mountains behind you it is a wonderful spot for an outdoor wedding. There are two pavilions that can seat up to 260 people and room to add more tables if need be. There is lots of room for parking and a children's play area to keep the kids busy while mom and dad are dancing :) Grills and electrical hookups for the caterers and decorations. Also, for the sports inclined there are sand volleyball courts, horse shoe pits, and hiking trails for guests while they wait for the wedding party to finish with pictures. Loads of parking for even the biggest wedding reception and on-site bathrooms. All of this for aound $400.00!!!!! That is a steal compared to all of the other N. Idaho wedding venues. And, personally, I think this blows them all out of the water. And, your guests can save money by staying in one of there neat little cabins or renting a camp spot for your wedding weekend...heck for your wedding week! I highly reccomend Farragut State Park for their wonderful prices and even better views. However, the one downside was that all of my guests got parking tickets. MAKE SURE THEY (and you too!) GET A $5 DAY PASS TO ENTER AND PARK IN THE PARK! They are not very forgiving and won't work with you to get the situation figured out. So if you don't get a day pass be prepared to pay a $15 fine on your vehicle.
