Everyone should be aware of this!!!! Myself, along with many other people are out money! They still haven't contacted me to even let me know what's going on. We found out all of this on the news, so I'm sure there are people out there who might not know that this is happening.

We had initially been disappointed in the level of customer care and responsiveness that we had received from Griffin throughout the planning process, at times it took up to 2 months to obtain a response to basic queries and we never received a single point of contact to work with. At times the corporate office also appeared to be highly disorganised with us being misadvised on occasion and them not communicating with one another before speaking to us.
However, on the actual weekend of our wedding we were blown away by how professional Desiree and her team were at the mansion. On Friday before our rehearsal it threatened to rain, Desiree worked with us in order to come up with a contingency plan. I was also concerned about the nominated transport company from the strip- Desiree listened to our concerns and had resolved them within an hour of us leaving the mansion, booking a fantastic company that met all of our requests. She and her team would not have been more professional, friendly or helpful.
On the day of the wedding our hairdresser that we had booked independently of Griffin did not show up to the venue. Desiree went beyond the call of duty, obtained 2 new hairdressers for us at short notice and negotiated compensation from the initial hairdresser booked which saved us money. She was efficient and extremely helpful, despite this not being within her remit. Throughout the actual event, Desiree was very good at making sure that everything ran very smoothly and to the time scales we had set out, even though we started the ceremony later than expected. Guests commented afterward to me about how they felt like they were looked after exceptionally well and that it was a very organised wedding. We had decided to give our guests table options and had therefore been warned in advance that there may be a delay on food. Desiree organised the servers so that the whole service was very efficient, there was hardly any wait time and we were impressed by the quality of care that everyone received. The food was amazing- even better than it had been at our tasting.
Chef Kat was is clearly passionate about what she does and it showed in her food. Guests were raving that the quality of the meal far surpassed that of normal wedding food. Furthermore, Chef Kat was great to us, making sure that we tasted everything on the menu and even going as far as making up sandwiches for hungry groomsmen before the ceremony! She could not have done more and it was a lovely touch when she came out to make sure that everyone had enjoyed their food as well. I would highly recommend Griffin based on Desiree and Chef Kat alone. Nothing was too much bother, they were professional, easy to work with and clearly very accomplished at their jobs!
The DJ, Photographer, bar and wait staff were all attentive, a great team and really kept the party going. Griffin have a great team and I would highly reccomend them.

griffin was with me step by step. The one stop shop setup for the package made planning very low stress. The entire day went smoothly from getting ready in the bridal suite down to the last dance.

The venue was beautiful, and the food was absolutely perfect! But it stops there.
As far as management it concerned, this place is a train wreck. Due to some time constraints, we did our tasting six months in advance. We had a lot of questions from the tasting, including their promise to get a quote for changing our cake's frosting. Over the next six months, we sent a lot of emails, made a lot of phone calls, and even once went to the venue to drop of a replacement check, as they had accidentally washed ours! Yet they still did not answer our questions. Finally, a week before our wedding, we got a half-hearted attempt to answer these, with apparently no knowledge of all our new questions that had surfaced.
So yes, it is beautiful, but frankly, it's not worth it. We ended up scrambling to get everything taken care of at the last minute because they didn't give us the information we needed. I am very laid back, but even I was starting to go bridezilla.
As far as the floral goes, that was also a bit of a disaster. We gave them magazine pictures at our tasting, and three days before our wedding I was asked for the pictures again, you know...'for the files.' I was assured that it didn't really matter what I sent them, so I did the best I could. When I met with the florist, it became clear she hadn't seen the original pictures at all! What she came up with was nice, but it really wasn't what I had been hoping for. And my poor bouquet started falling apart at the recessional, and kept shedding flowers all night! It wasn't even worth saving after.
Do not be fooled-- they seem like they'll take care of you, but they certainly will not!
