My goal for a location for our reception was to have some place easy to find (we have a lot of out of state guests!), would allow us our own caterer, and had enough room. The Hurricane Valley Community Center fit the bill perfectly. It isn't top shelf, it isn't pretentious... It is however flexible enough to be perfect for a budget-conscious couple who want things their way. The staff was warm and friendly. They allowed me to make a dozen changes regarding times and tables and who would be doing what. They were timely on the day of the event so we had no unpleasant surprises. The full kitchen was very helpful. The dance floor was the perfect size and was kept busy all evening. And the tables were more than generously sized.
We paid a modest deposit in advance that was quickly returned to us after the event. The hourly charge was quite reasonable. I'm already trying to figure out what future events I might need to host so I can turn to them again.
