You know that an affair has been a success when your guests proclaim that they can’t believe the party is over - especially when the party is a wedding shower where clock watching is the usual norm. With vague ideas outnumbering the specific ones, I contacted Leanne Valdes of You Name It to help me throw together an impromptu wedding shower. By the end of our first meeting, Leanne helped me solidify a delectable menu, suggested some fresh ideas for guest participation that didn’t include the usual shower games that I detest, and had a well directed sense of the decorating aesthetics that I wanted. Further meetings highlighted her organizational abilities with samples of products, food, and even a “designer drink” specific for the occasion, which we mixed together as a “trial run”. It was a hit at the shower.
It was these kinds of actions that Leanne employed that were such a complement to the expected skills of an event planner. Her desire to research out and add that something specifically unique to an event makes Leanne exceptional. Her vendors reflected her professionalism with the result that the party looked beautiful, the food was outstanding, and the activities were memorable for the guests as well as the bridal couple.
And the clean up...except for the floral arrangements, Leanne and her crew left not a trace of themselves behind. It was magical! Let me state the obvious: I unequivocally recommend You Name It for any party planning needs. Just be prepared for guests not to want to go home.

You Name It Events did a marvelous job of assisting unobtrusively the day of my daughter's wedding. They helped with everything we asked for but more importantly, anticipated and took care of things we did not think of. How wonderful to return home and find everything put back in its place, a truly professional organization!

I am undoubtedly a Type-A bride. I like being in control at all times and have a hard time delegating tasks to others, and my wedding day was no exception. Our wedding had a lot of moving parts- from a late night hot dog cart to a photobooth stand to an Oberweis ice cream cart, and I was worried everything would go according to plan and stay on schedule. Even on the morning of my wedding, I was running around looking over final details until Leanne told me "STOP! It's our job to worry about this! Go ENJOY your wedding day!" How right she was! The wedding was beautiful and the reception was so much fun and went off without a hitch! Multiple guests told us our wedding was the best and most fun wedding they'd ever been to! Leanne and her staff were so friendly, helpful, and made sure everything went according to plan. I would highly recommend their services to any Type-A bride like me who has a hard time letting go of control- they WILL NOT disappoint!

Both Leanne and Sarah worked with my daughter and me prior to the wedding and they both were extremely helpful. They answered all of our questions and provided suggestions and guidance to help make the day perfect. Sarah was with us the day of the wedding. She is very organized, very professional and attended to every detail. At the church she kept everything on schedule and even had my daughter's dogs there at the right time for photos. At the reception Sarah made sure that the set-up was to our specifications, that everything ran on schedule, seeing to all of the details so that my daughter and I could enjoy the day! At the end of the reception Sarah cleaned up and insured that we got all of our decorations back. It was because of You Name It that we were able to enjoy this very special day!!

Leanne and her group from You Name It Events & Administration were great! My daughter decided at the last minute to have an event coordinator on the day of her wedding and reception and I could not believe what a difference it made. You Name It came in listened to my daughter's wants and needs and made sure that everything ran as smoothly as it could. I would highly recommend and refer them!

Leanne and her team were just fabulous! My now husband didn't think we needed a day of coordinator and I insisted that we did. After months of convincing him and now that the wedding is over he couldn't image the wedding without her! Leanne allowed me as a bride to relax and just enjoy my day. She took care of every detail ~ including a last minute trip to the store during the ceremony! She even coordinated Benny the Bull (Chicago Bulls Mascot) to enhance my reception! Leanne and her team were the first group at my house while I was getting ready and the last to leave to make sure all the vendors picked up their materials. An awesome company to work with and I would consider her my new friend!

Not a single thing went wrong that Leanne couldn't fix on the day of my wedding! That alone says a lot! I used over 40 different vendors (2 florists, photo, video, musicians, etc.) and every detail was planned beforehand by Leanne so that I did not have to worry about a thing the day of my wedding. She was always available by phone and email and went above and beyond at every meeting. Even when a piece of jewelry broke on the day of the wedding, her assistant Sarah went to the jewelry store to get it fixed! Such excellent service. You will be busy enough on the day of the wedding that you really don't need to be verifying that everything behind the scenes is running smoothly. My wedding was truly once in a lifetime and I am so happy that everything went smoothly thanks to the detailed planning and promptness of Leanne.

I was able to have Leanne provide the primary planning and actual participation in providing my husband and I the most memorable and cost effective vow renewal ceremony I could have ever dreamed of! While I thought I was somewhat aware of Leanne's ability to put on a special, custom designed event, I was absolutely amazed at her all-around professionalism. She is truly a delight to work with and has such invaluable insight. She thinks of all of the "little" things, without missing anything!

So, I am a very organized person. I never really thought that I would get a wedding planner because I would be able to do things myself. After thinking about it for a while, I decided that I would want a wedding planner for the day of. I wanted a planner for the day of so that I could enjoy my wedding day, and also so that my mom and other family wouldn't have anything to worry about either. Leanne and I had a few meetings prior to the day which was very helpful and reassuring. Leanne actually gave me a goodie bag at our first meeting, which was really cute:) So, when the day finally came, I was AMAZED at how many times I called Leanne's name! It had to be over 300 times lol! Leanne and her assistants were on top of everything and they did it somehow in the background. One of the assistants even offered to carry my shoes for me at the end of the night! They helped with everything that day, from getting breakfast for everyone, to making sure the flowers ended up at the right place, to making sure all of our things were cleaned up out of the hall, and packed. Hiring You Name It Events was by far the best purchase of my wedding! Thank you ladies!!!

Leanne from You Name It is amazing! Her and two assistants (Megan and Shannon) were there as our coordinators for the day of our wedding. Leanne was always available through email to answer any questions I had. She spent two hours with us at the venue going through every detail. They took all our decorations at the rehearsal and set everything up at the venue the next morning. Every single thing was taken care of to ensure the whole day went smoothly and I didn't have to worry about anything. It was the best money spent on our entire wedding for sure!

Hiring Leanne and You Name It Events was the single best decision we made for our wedding. From the get go she was polite, helpful, and prompt--she replied to my initial email requesting info literally 11 minutes after I sent it. She worked with us to develop a service plan and price point that worked for our needs and budget, and was one of the least expensive coordinators we talked with--though you'd never know it by the service you get. We utilized her mostly for her day-of coordination package, but she also helped with arranging other details prior to the wedding. She was ALWAYS responsive and did anything and everything we asked. I came to her beforehand with tons of little questions, and she always had the answer. She was a great advocate in meeting with our other vendors and helped make sure our vision still happened even when the caterer, etc would tell us "it was too complicated". She worked hard to recreate our ideas and brought an even greater level of class to our plans and ideas! She was able to take charge and we didn't have to worry about anything the day of. Everything was done just as we wanted and she helped keep us and our bridal party on track while still enjoying ourselves. Pretty much no one asked me ANY organizational/planning questions the day of the wedding, which was exactly what Leanne and I had wanted for the day. My husband and I even threw some last minute curveballs her way (changing our music plan literally 2 minutes before our first dance song) and she made it happen smoothly. Many friends told us ours was the best wedding they had ever been to. I would absolutely recommend You Name It for day-of coordination and full event planning if that is what you need. They are the best out there!!

My husband and I are very happy with Leanne's service! She was very easy to work with and professional. My husband and I tend to pay much attention to details and slow in making decisions. Leanne helped us sort through priorities and keep the wedding planning going. She provided good advice and suggestions for selecting vendors and planning details. She was very responsive. Sometimes we were concerned when didn't hear from her for four/five days but she is always reachable and good at giving heads up. For our wedding, I would like a few more things to get attentive attention and further heads up on misc costs. I am very detail oriented and organized. Leanne has met our 99% expectations! Lastly but not least, she was cautious about our wedding budget and helped with a tons of wedding details to accommodate our needs. We had a beautiful wedding and she made it happen! Sarah Pudell works for You Name It Events, and she hosted a bridal shower for me on October 7, 2012. The shower was a huge success! The decorations were so ADORABLE! The cake, centerpieces, and food were amazing! The game was fun-How well do you know the couple? I thought the shower was well organized and a lot of fun! Thanks Sarah! Leanne and You Name It Events did a fantastic job putting on my fiesta themed graduation party. I was so happy with the decor, the invitations, and the overall party was a total success! The staff was attentive, polite, and professional. This event was a smaller scale event (about 50 or so people) but every detail was thought of and taken care of. I can only imagine how great of a job they would do working on a wedding. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone planning any kind of event, large or small!

I think the best decision that we made was to have Leanne and the younameit staff coordinate our wedding. I think I was pretty active along with my wife in the planning procsess and I had seen and helped choose the venue before hand but I must say that when I walked into our wedding the day of I was shocked and pleasantly surprised. It was a really nice wedding!!!. Even though the wedding turned out great that was not the greatest benifit, the greatest benifit would be the peace of mind that she gave us by reducing the stress on the bride which in turn reduced the stress between the bride and I. At first I didn't think we needed a planner but in hindsight I would NOT try to pull off a wedding without one nor can I imagine our wedding being as great as it was without the efforts of Leanne and the Younameit crew...THANX!!!!!!!!

You Name It handled a BBQ for over 100 guest with ease. These weren't dainty party guest either. This BBQ was for a Men's Soccer League and the guest were hungry men. Leanne had them all well fed and taken care of. I will not take on the stress of planning this event again. We will look for You Name It next season to plan our celebration end of season event!

Leanne planned my college grad party. She totally knew everything I would love and it was like she knew me! The theme was black and pink and it was more than I could ever imagined. It was an amazing day and I could not have done it without her!

I used Leanne to help me plan my daughter's 2nd birthday party, and I'm so glad I did. As I was in a very busy point in my life, I wanted to give my daughter a fun and special day to remember but not go 'totally over the top.' Leanne helped me think through what would be practical and realistic for the party. We came up with a very cute theme (pinwheels and polka dots), and then Leanne took time to research creative ideas for the decorations, food and favors. We used many things that the two of us found at home (in order to save money), and I kept thinking, 'who just offers up her own personal supply of things?' Leanne truly wanted this party to be as much of a success as I did. She asked about my budget, she made lists and kept us on task, and when I got a little behind, she was able to take the reins and keep us on schedule. However, Leanne worked along side of me as I wanted to do much of the party planning as well, and she was able to understand and respect the role I wanted to play too. Leanne went so far above the call of duty for this party. She worked on projects at home, she stayed after the party to help clean up and finish up the favors for the guests, and she was also incredibly prompt in terms of communication. I would highly recommend Leanne for any event. You will be so thrilled you worked with her, and you are paying for the best service out there. She will make each event truly unique and special for you!

Leanne/younameit services, helped plan our Oct.2009 wedding, a wedding we couldn't have been happier with! The day went off without a hitch, or a least that's what we thought. She handled EVERYTHING perfectly, even when there were a few bumps in the road, she got things taken care of so quickly we didn't even know there was a problem! This is exactly what we needed to have such a wonderful day. We have beautiful memories and pictures of a flawless day, and many thanks go to Ms. Valdes because of her hard work! We have since used her services to plan EVERY party we have had since! Baby shower, our baby girl's big 1st birthday, my husband's surprise birthday party. Simply put, we won't have a party without her planning behind it! She gives it her all, and it shows overall and in the details, which to me is very important! Not only does she do a great job of helping bring to life our ideas, but she as comes prepared with some excellent ideas of her own, just in case you need some! ;) Our only mistake.... not having her plan our honeymoon!
