I loved working with Molly at D'lish. She is very creative and capable of doing just about any idea I put on the table. She was really helpful in guiding my concept once she got a feel for us as a couple and the wedding style itself. At the last minute the cake plate I had planned to rent from her came back damaged from a previous wedding. She immediately contacted me and offered some very nice alternative options. It turned out beautifully!

Molly at D'Lish was an amazing person to work with. She created my groom's cake for the rehearsal dinner which encompassed a dog cake with 40 cupcakes. She worked very hard communicating with me everything about our dog, Dixie, to recreate her as real as possible. The cupcakes included logo tags from several of my husbands favorite schools/sports teams/etc. Molly was very patient, and come up with an amazing finished product!

Molly was fantastic. She was patient with me every time I emailed or called and was very straight forward with me on ways to reduce my costs. I definitely would recommend her!

We were referred to Molly by our coordinator, Melissa Lundsford, and wow what a referral!!! The wedding cake and grooms cake were absolutely perfect. Simple yet elegant for the wedding cake and the grooms cake was amazing!! My usband actually had a problem cutting into his grooms cake because he did not want to ruin the design. We specifically had requested a Grateful Dead Steal Your Face with the UNC logo in the middle and Carolina Blue icing. It was perfect! We will be talking about that cake for years to come. The flavors of the cake were incredible as well. Our minister who has definitely been to many weddings made a comment that this was by far the best wedding cake he has ever had. Thank you Molly for such a fabulous job!

Molly of D'Lish Desserts made our cake for our wedding in June. The cake was delicious (she doesn't use fondant... yay!) and everyone raved about it. However, the design of the cake was... ugly.
When my fiance and I met with Molly, we looked through her portfolio and found a design that we liked. When time came for Molly to show us sketches of cakes, what she sketched was nothing like what we had talked about! We should have complained and asked her to go at it again, but we felt pressed for time. So we went with one of her sketches. A few weeks later at our wedding, the cake is nothing like the sketch. It was too modern for our more elegant wedding.
However, it tasted delicious and looks great in pictures, and no one knows that it's not what we had picked out. My fiance and I were (apparently) the only people at our wedding who didn't like the look of the cake. So maybe Molly really did know best!
If you're going to book Molly, you'll have a delicious wedding cake. Just choose the design you want to have and stick with it! Feel free to criticize the sketches until you get what you want.

Molly of D'lish Desserts is wonderful! She is so nice, and makes yummy cake! We had her make our groom's cake and our wedding cake. both turned out great (even if we didn't really eat any of the wedding cake). The groom's cake had a University of South Carolina logo on the top of it which looked spot on, and the wedding cake was absolutely beautfiul! She is able to get her buttercream frosting so smooth, and it tastes much better than fondant! The wedding cake was under $1,000, to feed 125 people, so that was great! The groom's cake was pricey for what it was (to serve 25- a single tier), but the USC logo was $125 worth because of the legal rights. The cake was good, but the layer of filling was much too thick for me and my husband. When we had our cake tasting, the frosting was a small dollop of small rounds of cake, so it was hard to know exactly what it was going to be like. Every one loved both cakes though!

Molly was so easy to work with. This was a destination wedding with the bride and MOB flying in from different states to meet up. Molly was great about meeting us during the time frame we were in Charleston. Her cakes are FABULOUS! We did red velvet for the wedding, but all her other flavors were great too!
