Writing a review for Rhiannon that truly speaks to the quality of service she provides to her clients is almost impossible. I'll do my best though!
I found a Hey Gorg wedding on Style Me Pretty maybe a month before getting engaged. I tucked Rhi's name away in a favorites list that I assumed would grow and that I would later skim through and select a planner from… Except, I never favorited another vendor. I think this highlights the truth - there is no one else out there like Rhi!
Hiring her was a no-brainer after a quick phone chat. Over the year and a half of our engagement, planning the wedding was certainly a source of stress, but having Rhi by my side to chew over every detail and decision with was a dream come true. Her patience and creativity blew my mind. Most of my favorite pieces of the wedding were ideas of her's, and I know she had to tire of my 'newbie' questions but she was always encouraging me to ask more.
Rhi does a great job of using social media, and my friends (especially bridesmaids) loved it anytime she posted some little tidbit involving our wedding. They were so excited to meet her and see the wedding come together by the time it arrived. I think that, along with the surprises she had hidden for us throughout the day and planning experience, was a super fun part of the HGE experience. And I know the girls and all the rest of our guests were not disappointed when the day came!
Even though there were a few 'issues' on the day of, I didn't find out about them until all was said and done (I'm not sure she ever actually told me everything that went wrong ;) The gals who did our make-up/hair said I was the calmest bride they had ever dealt with, and I attribute that 100% to Rhi. I knew all would be taken care of, so I just enjoyed being the bride. That's worth every dime, right there!
I see Rhi doing her own floral design as a huge plus, and something that makes her unique. It was so nice being able to trust that my florist and my wedding planner both completely understood my vision and were on the same page (cause they were the same person, ha!) She knocked it out of the park, as I knew she would.
Finally, I was really impressed with how well she worked with other vendors, whether they were ones she had suggested or not. She was also absolutely amazing with our 3 year old flower girl, making her feel comfortable enough to walk the aisle like a little lady.
I think the worst part about hiring Rhi is the time after the wedding when you say goodbye!

This review is going to be a little different because it's not wedding related.. but let me say that we used Hey Gorg for our wedding first and were blown away with her attention to detail, so when the time came for our baby shower we knew who to call. My mom was hosting and she was so grateful to have Rhi taking care of everything. We both appreciated her input and all her ideas were exactly what we were thinking. The day of the shower came and I was so touched with her added details. Things like, cute straws, baby wishes, initial banners, etc- they made the shower and those are the things our guests noticed the most that my mom and I wouldn't have thought of. If you're looking for someone to plan your special event, Hey Gorg is who to call. She worked with our budget and made the day the most special day.

I had been following Rhiannon on Instagram for a year prior to my fiancé and I being engaged. I knew I wanted her to design and plan my wedding, so when the day came that we finally got engaged, I contacted her right away. Unfortunately for me, at the time, she was unable to accommodate my wedding in Canada. I was so disappointed.
Fast forward 5 months later. I contacted her again, on a whim, because the planning process was becoming so stressful for us. Between my being in school, my husband starting a new job, and other family obligations it was all to much. To my delight, Rhiannon was now available to help me with our Canadian Wedding!
From the get go, Rhiannon was professional, enthusiastic, and extremely kind. She provided us with beautiful ideas that perfectly matched our personalities after spending the time to get to know us personally via online conversations and Skype Dates (since we are over 5 hours away from where she lives).
After we made the commitment to work with her, we were so so happy with her. Her vision was like no other, and she is so talented in so many ways. She made trips to Canada to visit with us and our venue and church, so that she could get a feel for what we were working with in person, and spent countless hours going over our plans, revising them down to every detail, and making sure that our wedding was going to be exactly how we had envisioned it. On top of all of that, she was so kind, warm hearted, and just an absolute doll. She made herself available whenever we needed her and gave us the peace of mind we needed.
We hired her for partial planning and full design and florals, and her work was absolutely beautiful. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch, and it is because she worked tirelessly behind the scene to make it a seamless, gorgeous, and memorable occasion. Not only did she deliver way more than we dreamed, she even had a special surprise for us the day of our wedding that made it even MORE beautiful. She made sure all 250 of our guests were taken care of, and that we had everything we needed during the day - from food and drink to her special bridal emergency kit should we require anything last minute. Her enthusiasm and excitement the day of was also so awesome to see and made us feel so comfortable that everything was going off perfectly.
Another really important thing for us was that our parents were happy - and they were absolutely THRILLED with her work. We recently watched back our wedding feature film and the videographers captured her doing her thing the morning of - meticulously arranging the flowers, setting up everything perfectly, and we were reminded again what a gem she was to have.
Our guests were in awe at our wedding, from the florals and decor, to the linens and guest books, and said that they had never seen this venue look so beautiful (it is a very popular venue for our area and many many weddings take place there every year).
We heard so much feedback from our other vendors (photographers and videographers) that she was a pleasure to work with as well, and she made sure to get all the details of everything that was required from the venue itself. She is a team player in every way and it showed with the end product of our beautiful wedding day.
If you have any hesitations about Rhiannon or Hey Gorgeous - this review is my testimony to throw your reservations away and hire her. You will be thrilled, dazzled, and inspired!

I found out about Hey Gorgeous Events from a friend of mine who had been following Rhi's blog. Needless to say it was love at first sight, her attention to detail & flawless execution on every wedding in her portfolio hooked me right away! No two weddings were the same and her ideas were inspiring. After contacting her she quickly got back to me & we started to plan what would be my dream wedding. From Skype dates to talk details, to encouraging notes in the mail along the way Rhi quickly became more than my wedding planner, but a great friend. She calmed me in moments of panic, soothed my indecisiveness & helped me take deep breaths all the way up to my walk down the aisle. I can remember my now husband & I keeping her on the phone for hours until midnight on a weeknight crunching numbers & deciding if we were going to sign the next day for our venue we so desperately wanted. She never seemed bothered, but rather happy to help us through it, and helped us go through other costs and make sure we were spending our money the way WE wanted and always making sure we were comfortable with every last penny & decision made. We ended up choosing our dream venue and everything worked out. She infused our day with modern/romantic touches filled with gray, butter yellow & deep peach colors that dripped from ceiling to floor. She transformed our venue into OUR venue, with little surprises for us along the way that made everything that much more special. I couldn't imagine planning a wedding on my own, and I definitely couldn't imagine planning my wedding without Rhi, because it wouldn't of been my wedding, it would of been one of the many weddings I've been to before with my name on the program under 'bride'...Rhi has a way of transforming your personality/beliefs/tastes and anything else you could dream of into reality and THAT is what makes her so special.
Rhi even helped my mom with my non-traditional couples camping themed shower (she of course came up with the adorable theme) and it was one for the books! My family & friends are all still talking about it!
I got married to the man of my dreams on 8/17/2013 and have been thinking of writing this review since then, it has taken me this long due to the fact that I simply cannot imagine how to express my gratitude to someone who helped shape the most important day of my life into a beautiful day that I'll never forget and so I'll just say this, thank you...

When first presented with the idea of having a "couples" shower...something I had no idea how to create...I said yes immediately but fretted for months as to how to pull it off. The venue was our home and my husband and I have given more than our share of parties through the years, but I was in a difficult time of my life, dealing with ailing parents and the mere thought of tackling this and making it a wonderful day for the engaged couple simply overwhelmed me. I called Hey Gorgeous Events (our daughter and her fiance had previously contracted Rhi to plan their wedding) approximately six weeks out from the date that was set and asked Rhi for direction. Without hesitation she started coming up with ideas and offered to help make the day amazing. I was overjoyed by the little details she came up with to tie it all together with the wedding she was planning for our "kids" on August 17, 2013. There was a camping theme, a large tent with lights, fire pit with a lounging area around it. Packages of smores put together as favors for the party guests to take home or use around the camp fire. It was all a beautiful, beautiful presentation and a night to remember. Truly different than anything we had seen before. I don't know where her ideas come from, but once she started rolling with it, it just grew to be one incredible evening. The night set the tone for the nuptials to come. There are way too many details for me to describe except to say that nothing was left to chance. She had everything covered and checked with us every step of the way to be sure we were on the same page. I am sure that this shower will be talked about for a long time to come and like my Mother said "it may start a whole new trend". BEAUTIFUL!!

I don't think I can even put into words how amazing my experience has been with Rhi from Hey Gorgeous Events. As a Texas bride getting married in Grand Haven,MI I realized early on that planning a wedding from afar wasn't going to be easy.
Rhi and I first started talking in July of 2012 as I had reached out to her to see if she offered floral services. After our first chat on the phone I immediately knew I wanted to work with her, she was beyond sweet, professional beyond her years, incredibly creative, and she instantly understood my vision for my wedding day.
Not only did I end up using her for my flowers (which were UNBELIEVABLE and admired by everyone) but she also handled my linens, chair rental, and overall design of the reception - from little escort cards pinned to tangerines to over-sized balloons attached to my husband and my chairs. No task is too big or too small for Rhi and she will honestly do everything she can to make your vision for your wedding come true. She worked fantastically with my other vendors, communicating with them throughout the process and ensuring that the set up of the big day went off without a hitch.
Rhi has a true passion for event planning and design and goes above and beyond to make her brides feel so special. She even put together a beautiful flower arrangement in memory of my mom that sat upon the altar at our ceremony. Seriously, the sweetest thing ever. She invests so much of her time and heart into each wedding and it absolutely shows. I honestly cannot say enough great things about Rhi and working with her was really a blessing. I admire her so much and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great wedding planner - you can't beat Rhi.

Rhiannon Nicole / Hey Gorgeous Events was invaluable in transforming our ideas into realities. We crafted our wedding into a celebration of our lives together in both practical and fantastical / imaginative terms. As artists, our ideas for our big day were expansive and also had a level of abstraction. Rhi brought our abstract concepts, specific hopes and most important desires for the day into shape. She realized our ideas while establishing trust with us and adding her own suggestions in order to further define and make possible the event. She contributed her own ideas to the process and we began to collaborate in order to bring to life cross-cultural influences from Taipei / Taiwanese and Kentuckian / American Southern traditions. We complemented these traditions with our own aesthetics in ways that most literally and directly were made possible by all of the hard work and dedication that Rhiannon put into the process with us, into helping us to take our steps together on our journey.

With Rhiannon’s help, I literally had my dream wedding come true.
My now husband and I had very specific ideas and themes for our wedding. We are both artists and we hesitated in hiring a professional event designer to help us in constructing what seemly we could have just done ourselves. Boy, am I glad that we chose Hey Gorgeous Event!
Rhiannon is professional, friendly, and helpful. Beyond that (usual requirement of a wedding event designer), she is extremely sincere. We wanted a shabby chic, glitter rainbow, cowboy unicorn fantasy wedding that wasn’t cheesy or immature. We required all the classic romantic notions on top of a unique but difficult-to-achieve concept. All of the above had to fit into a somewhat traditional wedding because we are nostalgic and think being old school is sweet. Lastly, our wedding had to represent us as who we are. Rhiannon did such an awesome job hitting every of our demands. She earned a flying A. Her sincerity in being on the same team as her clients shone through all our planning and accomplished much more than I expected.
Our fantastic wedding was also an out-of-town wedding in Michigan (we live in Chicago) with a limited budget. I am Taiwanese, and being the first to be married amongst my close girlfriends, I was completely unfamiliar with all the proper wedding planning, western traditions and necessities. Rhiannon selflessly taught me all the knowledge a bride should know and more to my husband. She stayed on top of the budget throughout the entire process, and even after the wedding. She was totally flexible for our meetings (via phone, on Skype or in person). She is well connected locally and nationally in the wedding industry, which helped tremendously to cut down expenses.
She also is a talented florist. The floral arrangements in my wedding made my mother (part-time florist herself) gasp. Rhiannon has great taste and always shared her honest opinions to my sometimes-crazy ideas. She never once limited my creative freedom and desire as her client and the bride. She’s always respectful, and patient even when there’s a problem with vendors or there’s been a change of plans. She has a warm and cheerful personality that helped me stay calm, organized and excited. She constantly expressed her gratitude, which included sending us some special little newly wed gifts. But most importantly, Rhiannon is genuine when she says she wants to be part of your wedding and make it better than amazing. She is damn good at it and the Internet agrees!
Her genuine sincerity and professional drive to self-betterment as an event designer was what made her go so many extra miles in making my dream wedding come true. A bride-to-be is often told: at least one thing will go wrong during her big day. Nothing went wrong because Rhiannon planned my wedding. She was there on my big day before and after me.

We hired Rhi well in advance of our September 2012 wedding and are so, so glad we did! Rhi is an amazing person and was so helpful throughout the planning process. We hired her to work with us as a coordinator, but Rhi provided so much more! She gave vendor referrals, kept us on track in the planning, and, most importantly, provided some much needed support, encouragement, and inspiration throughout the planning process. I really valued having Rhi's opinion (because obviously she has the most amazing taste) and was so glad we had her to pull together all the little details and make our wedding pretty and perfectly us. I left every skype date with Rhi feeling energized and exciting and CALM about our wedding.
Rhi also acted as an advocate for us with our vendors and took over communication and coordination with them, which was a HUGE weight off my shoulders. I knew Rhi was always on top of everything.
The weekend of the wedding she was so amazing. She even coordinated last minute rentals for me when I called her in a panic the day before the wedding.
Rhi made our wedding run like a dream and brought all the gorgeous details together so smoothly. I didn't worry about a thing on my wedding day, and for that I am so grateful. She even brought me my favorite Starbucks drink the morning of the wedding while we were getting married!
Rhi is simply the sweetest person and works her butt off for all her clients. Her heart and soul is in her work and it really shows. I am so happy to have stumbled on her blog and found her.

We hired Rhi more than half way through our planning process, and had I known how amazing and invaluable she would come to be, I would have had her be apart of the planning from the very beginning. As you can obviously see in every aspect of her life, this girl knows about all things gorgeous. She seems to have endless creativity and is all about making your day as unique and lovely, as well as personal to you and your loved one, as possible. Rhi goes above and beyond in every realm. She's incredibly organized and timely, and ensures that you are as well. She's always shooting an email, text or giving you a call to keep you up to date and planning for the next item on the checklist. She's a source of comfort when you are overwhelmed or unsure, and along with that, she's a problem solver who dishes out ideas and advice as effectively as a 30 year veteran of the industry. On the day of, we knew we had nothing to worry about because Rhi would be take care of everything. We couldn't have asked for more and you will not find a better coordinator.

The pictures and memories of our “perfect wedding day” will last a lifetime. Thanks to Rhi, owner and lead stylist at Hey Gorgeous Events our wedding from start to finish was flawless.
My fiancé and I stumbled upon Rhi pretty early on during our planning process. For a solid year, we worked through securing vendors, selecting inspiration, working on favors, picking out décor, and everything in between. Rhi was on top of every detail from head to toe and she never missed a beat.
Additionally, her upbeat attitude and professionalism were evident as a few wrenches were thrown our way. To give you an example, Rhi really came in handy when I decided that we wanted to change our venue. Her expertise, knowledge of Northern Michigan, and familiarity with vendors in the area allowed the transition to be as smooth as possible. Also, when the vendor we were using for our linens and chairs did not come through, she researched other options to ensure that we would be covered.
During the weeks leading up to the wedding, I found out very quickly that Rhi was the best investment that we had made throughout this process. She was always accessible via email and phone for last minute details. Additionally, she created a minute by minute schedule for everyone involved with the wedding. Rhi also contacted all of our vendors to make sure that they were prepared for the wedding.
One more thing that is worth mentioning is Rhi’s innovative ideas, creative inspiration, and ability to execute our “wedding vision.” She went above and beyond to make sure that our day was unique and special for us. A few highlights included our cake and pie display, tree hanging photo frame for guests to take pictures, and “hitched” sign hanging from the ’55 Chevy I rode down to the ceremony in. The biggest surprise was the handmade pink and purple fabric garlands hung from the ceiling in the barn.
I can’t thank Rhi enough for the effort, time, and heart that she put into making our day a wedding that our guests and we will always remember. While I am sad that our journey with Rhi has come to an end, I feel fortunate that I have found a new friend.

Hiring Rhiannon was by far the best decision we made when it came to planning our wedding. From the beginning, Rhi was extremely organized and prompt with all of her services. She provided us with a very thorough timeline as well as checklists to keep us in line. She also brought great ideas to the table that worked well with our venue and budget. Rhi took care of all of our needs on the wedding day, including chasing our niece and calming nerves. She made sure every last detail was taken care of (and photographed) and was very professional and kind to all of our family and friends. Rhi even found us a place to live after we were married.
But above all, Rhi was awesome to work with. She was sweet and understanding of all things wedding-related, including stress. Her taste and style are impeccable and her personality makes her a joy to work with. Rhi goes above and beyond for her brides and grooms. She single-handedly made our wedding day flawless and beautiful. It was an honor for us to work with Rhiannon. No wedding is complete without her!

Rhiannon of Hey Gorgeous Events was simply, outstanding. She worked tirelessly for us for a year and was instrumental in choosing the venue, and all vendors as neither my daughter, nor myself lived in the State. She truly was our fairy godmother, and worked incredible magic.
Rhi searched venues with me in Detroit, and with photographs and her vision for the space, assured the bride and groom that this was their perfect wedding spot. Months later when they first saw the venue they agreed. Rhi found vendors that transformed our ideas and her vision into a magical day, forever keeping in mind the budget we had set. She attended cake and dinner tastings with us, and met with us twice at home in Ontario. We exchanged countless emails and had several Skype dates. Her attention to detail is remarkable, and her timelines invaluable. She has an uncanny sense of knowing when things are not ‘quite right’. I received text messages that would simply said ‘are you ok?’ In these moments she would cleverly smooth the waters between my daughter and I who on a number of occasions had differing opinions. She understands stress and knows how to handle it. She is an unbelievably organized person, and professional in her dealings with all the vendors and venue staff. She goes above and beyond anyone’s expectations, from wrapping groom’s gifts to purchasing limes!....little things to some, but huge for us planning a ‘destination’ wedding. There is nothing Rhi won’t do, or can do for you.
What sets Rhiannon apart is her genuine enthusiasm and love for her job. She treats each wedding as if it were her very own, which is evident in all the little details and surprises she adds. She is talented, creative, sweet and sincere. Wedding day was absolute perfection. I enjoyed every single moment of it, as did my daughter. Stress-free weddings – priceless.

I always describe meeting my new husband as fate and what's funny is that I feel the same about finding Rhi of Hey Gorgeous Events. I stumbled upon Rhiannon while researching wedding decor early on in my engagement and after a few emails back and forth about elements of her wedding decor (which she graciously answered) we got talking about having her work with me on the day of my wedding.
I hired Rhi as a Day of Coordinator and she went above and beyond this with immediate email responses, ordering & accepting courier deliveries, lending me decorations and so on...And, on top of it all, she offered her friendship & emotional support leading up to my wedding.
On our wedding day Rhi was even more fantastic than I could have imagined. She made my vision come to life, kept me calm, handed all of the vendors and made quite the impression on all of our guests. Thank you Rhi for being such a pivotal part of our wedding journey.

We hired Rhiannon with Hey Gorgeous Events with only a few months left to go in our planning stages of our wedding. We were becoming overwhelmed and mainly needed a bit of organization in order for all of our plans to become reality. Initially we hired her to do “partial planning;” we skyped and emailed one another to lock down key vendors (which she provided since we live in Chicago, and our wedding was in Northern Michigan). Rhi also set lists and timelines for us, so we knew exactly what we should have accomplished by a certain date before the big day. This was key to us, since we were looking at a very long list of to-dos, and had a hard time prioritizing them.
Once our partial planning was over, we decided that we wanted to have Rhi with us on the actual day of our wedding as well. After getting to know her so well, and after she invested so much time, energy and ideas we truly believed that she would be able to take everything we planned and make it a reality.
I can honestly say that Rhi was the sister I never had those few months leading up to our wedding. She was constantly thinking of things, emailing ideas, following up with me to make sure I did something I said I would do, contacting vendors, and finalizing every single last detail. I often wondered how she was able to treat all of her clients the way she did us since she devoted so much time to our wedding.
Rhi’s creativity, organization, and genuine enthusiasm made our planning experience absolutely wonderful, and I cannot thank myself enough for hiring her. I cannot imagine what I would have been like without her…
We knew having Rhi with us on our wedding day that everything was under control. The decor, vendor organization, timeline of the day-of, and coordination with the venue was fully taken off our plate, and we were able to simply enjoy every moment of our wedding day.
