As soon as we got engaged the first thing that we did was interview wedding planners. After interviewing five different people/businesses Vicki, lead planner of My Simple Details, was the clear choice for us for several reasons. The number one best thing about Vicki is her calm presence. When we met with other planners we left feeling stressed and anxious about the planning process. After our initial meeting with Vicki we felt a strong sense of calm which allowed us to really get excited about our wedding. We knew immediately that we were in good hands.
Our initial instincts were correct, choosing Vicki was the best decision that we could have made (besides deciding to get married our course!). Vicki has an incredible talent for helping a couple decide what they really want for the feel and look of their wedding. She was very careful to guide us into finding out what we wanted rather than telling us (which I really appreciated because I can be kind of a pushover/people pleaser). She is also full of amazing ideas and has and incredible sense of style.
Vicki and the My Simple Details team are incredibly organized and professional. Vicki also recommended amazing vendors that were in our budget and that we truly loved working with. Because of my Simple Details we were extremely relaxed during our wedding knowing that everything was being taking care of by Vicki’s team. We would (and have!) recommend My Simple Details to anyone and everyone.

I love Vicki, she helped me to focus on what I wanted at the wedding and to pinpoint all the details. She helped make everything run smoothly. I cannot even recount the number of compliments I have received and I am still receiving for how great everything looked. I wish I could get married again just so that I could work with Vicki again! I would recommend her to EVERYONE and ANYONE! Her company is nice because it allows you to pick what package works best for you and your wedding needs.

After choosing each other (of course), choosing Vicki Grafton from My Simple Details as our wedding coordinator was probably the biggest decision Alan and I had to make in regards to our wedding. After meeting her, we knew she was the "one" we wanted guiding us through this very important time in our life. We used Vicki to coordinate our entire wedding - she was a breeze to work with and the whole process went smoothly. Vicki was superb and nothing we asked for was too much trouble for her. She was attentive to our needs and oversaw each aspect of our wedding in a professional manner. Just as important as talking about Vicki's professionalism, I just thought I'd mention that she has a great personality. She always made us feel at ease, has a great sense of humor and we always looked forward to all our meetings with her. We are very happy with the service that we were provided, but more importantly that we made a great friend through this whole wedding process.

I have to say that Vicki was amazing!!!! My husband and I did not have much time to plan a wedding because we work very long hours, so we hired My Simple Details for the full wedding planning package. She took care of everything with an eye for style, careful attention to detail and the utmost professionalism. She was able to get us the best prices and deals for our money, which helped us save money but not skimp on class. And everything turned out perfect. There was nothing that I would have changed at all. All of our guests keep telling us that our wedding was the best wedding they have ever been to. Words can not express my gratitude for Vicki - not only did she make planning my wedding a joy, I don't think I would have survived the day without her! She was extremely attentive, quick to reply to emails and always had good feedback/input.
In the weeks leading up to the wedding, I had so many little DIY projects going on, that I don't know what I would have done if I had to worry about finalizing details with our vendors, creating timelines, and making sure I didn't forget any details - LUCKY FOR ME, I had Vicki :) She was so on top of everything that I never even worried about anything for the wedding. She really helped me to capture my vision and make my day everything I ever dreamed it to be and more!
The day of the wedding she worked tirelessly to make sure every detail was in place and that my fiance and I did not have a care in the world, we were simply able to enjoy the days events :) Perhaps one of the biggest blessings was that she packed up all of the items from the wedding and put them in our car for us - what a joy to leave the wedding knowing that everything was taken care of. Many people remarked that I was a surprisingly calm Bride and I had to attribute it to the fact that I had Vicki there to help!

We worked with Vicki and Zoe on the design and day off planning - and we could not have survived without them! From the get-go, Vicki knew EXACTLY what kind of wedding I wanted and was able to come up with countless, beautiful details that I would have never thought of and my husband and I have been overwhelmed with compliments since the wedding. Vicki worked countless hours planning and responding to my millions of emails and provided such great input into every detail of our wedding. Not only does she really care about her clients, but she is wonderful at what she does and will make your wedding gorgeous.
We also worked with Zoe for the day-of operations and all I know is that I didn't have to worry about one thing. Nada. She ran the show perfectly and kept our wedding party of over 20 people running on time. My parents are still in shock of how well the car was meticulously packed with our wedding gifts. Things that I would never have thought of were planned out to a tee and I didn't have to stress about anything on our wedding day.
My Simple Details did an amazing job on our wedding and I will be recommending them to all of my friends! They made the planning process fun and were great to work with. They are a must have for your wedding and absolutely worth the price!

The moment we got engaged, we knew we needed a wedding planner. My husband and I contacted Vicki and shortly after, we booked the complete planning package for our destination wedding in Mexico. We had so many concerns about planning a wedding out of the country, but knew we were in good hands with Vicki since she was very experienced in planning destination weddings.
During our initial meeting she knew what type of wedding style we were looking for and she was able to declutter all our ideas. Throughout the wedding planning process, we exchanged hundreds of emails. She was very responsive to all our questions and was very patient with us. Vicki made us feel very comfortable and there was never a question that was too silly to ask. We bounced several ideas off of her and she always made our vision come to life. She always made the perfect suggestions that suited our taste and we knew we could trust her vision. All the “Simple Details” Vicki incorporated made our wedding day so very special. We did not want a “cookie-cutter” wedding and Vicki delivered and proved her talents to us. Vicki was always able to think outside the box and helped us create an amazingly unique and unforgettable wedding.
Vicki worked so hard in finding us the perfect location and wedding venue. The resort was so amazing and absolutely breathtaking. Our guests are all still raving about the superb service the resort provided for them. Many have told us it was by far the BEST wedding they had attended, and we have Vicki to thank for that. That speaks millions for the dedication and hard work Vicki poured into making our wedding a dream come true!!!

My husband and I were very happy with the quality of service we received from Vicki and her My Simple Details staff. We had the Day of Plus package and believe it was well worth the money. We had our own vision in mind for our special day but it was always nice to have someone to run ideas through and get new and fresh ideas from. Vicki made great vendor recommendations which was something we really appreciated because she always steered us in the right direction. At our final catering meeting, we were told that the venue's arch had been damaged and we would not be able to have one to use for our ceremony. It was Vicki who suggested creating our own arch with bamboo for a more organic feel -- and this turned out to fit our style even better than the white arch!
Vicki was also quick to respond and always attentive to our concerns. She caught things that slipped my mind. For the last month leading up to the event, it was such a relief to have someone else finalizing all the little details with the vendors and making sure everything was on track. I was able to focus more on family, friends and all the fun DIY stuff.
On the actual day, everything flowed seamlessly. I had been concerned about dinner service since we had three different caterers working it, but Vicki and her team had it all under control and it all worked out. Even with the inevitable hiccups that come up and having to switch to PlanB due to rain, our evening was as special and as perfect as we could've ever wished for. Our guests had a wonderful time and the reception was beautiful.
We highly recommend My Simple Details to any couple looking for peace of mind :)

We worked with My Simple Details for the "Day of-Plus" coordination for our wedding in May. I cannot recommend My Simple Details or Vicki Grafton enough! I was immediately impressed by not only Vicki's sweet and professional demeanor, but also how quickly she seemed to pick up on my style and "vision," for lack of a better word, for my wedding. Vicki seemed to understand what my preferences were, and she provided so many great design ideas and references. She was incredibly generous with her time- providing leads and recommendations for several vendors and wedding resources. Vicki always responded quickly via phone and email, and was incredibly organized. She was great with contacting all of our vendors in advance, and her schedule for the day of the wedding was amazingly detailed. Vicki even stepped in to run our rehearsal, and she was fabulous. She is directive and professional, but never bossy. On the day of the ceremony, Vicki and her "crew" showed up and put together every single item and design detail in a very short time period. And it looked wonderful! Vicki is very talented, and you could see her artistry in so many little ways. It was a special day, and we recieved many compliments that I know were the result of her hard work. Thank you Vicki!

Hiring Vicki was the very first thing I did when I got engaged. Our wedding is in October 2011 so as you can tell this review is rather early in the process, but I just couldn't wait to tell everyone about my experience with this extremely talented woman.
I got the day of coordination and design package and since my wedding hasn't occurred yet, I will only talk about the design aspect, however based on examples Vicki has shown me of her preparation for a wedding, I am confident our day will be perfect.
Our first meeting consisted of discussion about my basic needs in a coordinator and some general ideas of how I wanted it to feel. Prior to our second meeting (our first design meeting) Vicki emailed me and asked me to think of and bring to her some things that me and my fiancee love. It could be photos, a piece of clothing, anything really that would allow her to get an accurate reading on our personality and style. When I showed up to our design meeting, Vicki had already created an inspiration board based on discussions we had already had and the color choices my fiancee and I had decided on. We went over the photos and ideas that I brought with me and then she shared her board with me, explaining each aspect of it in detail. She asked many questions and told me that if there was anything that I didn't like about her board to please speak up so she could get the final one just right. I left the meeting already very confident that the design aspect was on the right track and just knew Vicki would come up with something amazing.
About a week later, Vicki emailed me with a more final version based on some of the details I showed her and other things we had talked about in our meeting. And boy was it just amazing. She truly has a knack for interpreting the brides ideas and personality and turning it into something beautiful and cohesive.
Once that was done and then over the past few months, Vicki has worked for what seems like endless hours to find me the right vendor's keeping my budget in mind and has truly gone above and beyond what I would have ever expected from a wedding coordinator, even going so far as keeping a running calculation of how much ribbon we would need for the ribbon details we were planning on having for the chairs and tables. So when it was time for me to order the ribbon recently, she just busted out with this long list of how much of what color and where I should get it from. AWESOME. Of course she asked my opinion on colors before hand but she did all of the work. The best feature of the design package is that once a detail is decided on, she files it away and then later provides me with short shopping lists of things I need to purchase to make our vision a reality. Furthermore, she has so many vendor contacts that she gets expertise from as well as discounts, you would be silly not to choose her just for this reason!
Vicki gave me an option to either make our next design meeting to pick linens at our venue or to meet with the florist, and I immediately chose the florist. I have no idea what I would have done without her! I was brain dead by the end of the meeting with all of the color choices and flower names but she stayed right on point the entire time!
When it comes down to it, I would be lost without Vicki. She has proven to be a true asset to my planning adventure and am confident our big day will be everything we ever dreamed and a more.

Weddings are full of little details that can be easily missed. Vicki totally made it possible for us to enjoy the wedding day being our extra set of hands. She came through with assisting us with last minute changes by knowing local vendors to affordably help. We couldn't have pulled off the perfect wedding without her assistance.

Vicki was amazing!!! She is very dedicated and really makes you feel like you are her only client, even though she has many! She answered all my emails with in hours if not minutes, and sent me reminders to make sure I was on top of everything even though we only used her for "Day of Planning"! When the location of the ceremony changed 4 days before my wedding (chapel AC broke so we moved it to an outdoor wedding) she helped me make all the changes needed, which were ALOT (or at least it felt that way) and even manned the music which was on a CD! She had so many great ideas which really helped me since I wasn't one of those little girls who dreamed about my wedding, so I didn't have much in mind at the beginning!! She was great, and I would highly recommend her!

Vicki was fabulous! We're so happy we hired her as our coordinator and don't know what we would have done without her. She was always quick to respond to any questions we had along the way. After our initial meeting, (but before officially hiring her) she put together a beautiful inspiration board. Vicki is very creative and was able to suggest ideas to complement our vision from having vases made for our centerpieces to taking her own personal collection of mason jars and an antique bicycle. We didn't have to worry about much in the final month of planning when Vicki took over vendor communications. Best of all, on the wedding day, I didn't have to worry about anything! We had several diy elements that Vicki and her team setup. She was onsite from the start of the day to the last call at our reception. Hiring Vicki as our day of coordinator was one of our best decisions and we'd recommend her to anyone! Working with her has made me want to change professions and do more wedding planning!

We used My Simple Details "Day of Plus" Package for our wedding, and we are more than happy that we did. While we did a lot of the planning on our own, I really needed someone to bounce ideas off of and help provide reassurance that everything I was doing was right...and Vicki went above and beyond! I bothered her with many emails and questions from the beginning, and she always had a great response. She provided amazing recommendations for our florist, cake and transportation. She came with us to our florist consulations to help make sure that everything we selected would work with our venue and overall theme. She also contacted all of our vendors and made sure everyone knew what they were doing, so that I would not have anything to worry about. Thanks to Vicki, everything came together amazingly at our wedding and I could not have asked for a more perfect (and stress-free) day! Thank you Vicki! :)

I've been wanting to do a styled shoot with my husband for some time, so I decided to contact Vicki with My Simple Details. It was the smartest move I could have made! Vicki is so creative and full of awesome ideas. She really puts her heart into what she does and it definitely shows in her work. She is always on top of things and an absolute pleasure to work with. Vicki Grafton was a huge help in our planning and on our wedding day. At first we were hesitant to hire a coordinator, thinking we could avoid the cost and do everything ourselves – but sometimes you just need the extra help – and thankfully we hired Vicki for “month of” coordination services. I dealt with the coordinating and consultations/meetings myself and right from the start Vicki was extremely helpful, very organized and on top of things. She is experienced and knows what works and what doesn’t, all the while keeping your preferences and tastes in mind. She made great suggestions and had ideas that I hadn’t considered and she finalized all of those last minute details with vendors as well as the timeline for the day. Looking back, I’m so glad we decided to spend the money and hire Vicki – a great value for the cost – her assistance and expertise proved to be invaluable on our wedding day. I would highly recommend Vicki and My Simple Details to others!

I have been working with Vicki, the wedding planner, for over a year and the team from My Simple Details truly lives up to their name. No detail was missed in my wedding planning. Vicki brought fresh new ideas to me when considering the event design and she was able to negotiate reasonable rates with vendors in the U.S. and at the destination. We had to change our venue on short notice and she was able to bring other viable options to the table and did so much work to find all new vendors when moving the destination from the Dominican Republic to Mexico. We are now in the final stages of planning (the big day is December 11, 2010), and I am extremely confident that Vicki will take all the Simple Details and turn my wedding into a beautifully intimate events shared with family and friends.
In addition to the wedding plans, she also styled our engagement photo session. The chemistry she had with the photographer (Kate Triano, recommended by Vicki) was great and they worked together to deliver beautiful photos. The photos came out so phenomenal and that they were featured in a local DC blog called United With Love.
My Simple Details provides and excellent service that I would not be able to do for myself and I would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or other logistically challenging event!
